Show your Commitment to Compassion by contributing to Heartland Humane Society!

Last year I adopted my amazing friend, Raichou. Although he is often rotten he is the friendliest, sweetest and smartest pet I've ever had. Raichou was transferred to Heartland from a California shelter that had more dogs than they could serve. Now he romps through our yard, plays at the dog park, and had a blast at the Osborn Dog Day. He is a member of our family.

I started working at Heartland 11 years ago. In that time I have seen tremendous change. We take in EVERY stray, seized, and surrendered pet in Benton County, regardless of health. Our save rate has grown from 78% to 96%! All pets are spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.

HHS reaches hundreds of youth through humane education programs. We work to break the link of animal abuse, child abuse, and violence passed through generations. We instill a sense of respect and empathy along with a responsible, loving commitment to all living creatures. Humane Education programs occur in schools, after-school programs, day cares, on-site camps and clubs. Teaching children how to treat animals when they are young will reflect their care for people in the future.

Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for Heartland Humane Society
