Your gift provides care for the pets of families in crisis

The Safe Housing Program is a safety net for pets of families in crisis

Would you leave a violent situation if it meant leaving your animal companion behind?

How about entering a hospital to receive lifesaving treatment, but having no one to care for them while you are admitted?

Could you leave your companion on the street in freezing temperatures while you entered a shelter, or would you stay outside?

People shouldn't have to make these choices. The Safe Housing Program ensures that individuals in Benton County and beyond have an option to get the help that they need with the peace-of-mind that their companion is safe and cared-for.

Clients seeking aid from Heartland's partner organizations - Center Against Rape and Domestic Violence (CARDV), Community Outreach, Inc., Mario Pastega House and Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Benton COunty Health Department, local inclement weather shelters, and more can get the assistance they need to help themselves or their families while their animal companions are sheltered and cared for by Heartland Humane.

This program comes at no cost to the people it serves, and the ultimate goal is reuniting every animal with their loving family.

Consider a gift to preserve the human-animal bond this Giving Tuesday!
